Falls Road Railroad. On Saturday we rode this interesting railroad from Brockport to Lockport with a trip over the upside down bridge for a total of 84 rail miles.

My nephew Mark Weiss went with me on this short one day trip!
The Falls Road Railroad (reporting mark FRR) is a Class III short line railroad owned by Genesee Valley Transportation (GVT). The railroad operates in Niagara, Orleans, and Monroe counties in New York. The railroad's right-of-way consists of 42 of track, known as the Falls Road Branch, that were acquired from Conrail on October 15, 1996. A yard and engine house are maintained in Lockport, NY, where the railroad interchanges with CSX.

After the run, we visited the Medina Railroad Museum, near our setoff, in Medina, New York. The museum extensive and is housed in one of the largest standing wooden freight depots, built in 1905.
